OUR MISSION is to fight the epidemic of students who have learned to code, but not to think like software engineers.
OUR FACULTY have worked as software engineers for Silicon Valley icons including: Facebook, Apple, Google, and Microsoft.
OUR CURRICULUM is relevant: we teach students the intricacies of iOS application development. Each student that graduates from CSR will have been given the tools to build iPhone apps which look fantastic and function seamlessly.
OUR INSTRUCTION is first-rate. Each member of the CSR faculty brings a nuanced insight into our curriculum, drawn from years of programming experience.
OUR PREREQUISITES: There are no prerequisites for CSR, meaning that we accept all levels of coding experience. No two students have identical programming backgrounds, and we see skill development across the board.
1:8 teacher to student ratio. Students receive individualized constructive criticism from trained computer scientists. Small class sizes guarantee students will make connections with their instructors who can become programming mentors for life.
Each student will be given the tools to build an iPhone application from scratch. From designing user-interfaces to integrating databases, our students learn the foundation for creating applications available on the App Store.
The program concludes with a one-day crash course in building a business from scratch, with students pitching app ideas and gaining feedback from the class for their final project. These sessions are led by public speaking experts, mostly trained at Stanford.
